Now with Gifs, it isnt very diffrent.
Actully its not diffrent at all when it comes to the scripts
and suchs. You use the exact same ones as in Images,
which is this:
[img]"your picture url here"[/img]
or this:
[img align=left]"picture url here"[/img]
So i am not gonna repeat all that in here.
However, Gifs are more sensative to change and/or alteration, if your not careful you could "break" them and turn them into still images,
such as png or jpeg.
So in order to change or alter a gif,
you need to use the site called Ezgif.com
On that site you can do a few things, such as resizeing, croping, change the
speed/frames, among many other things.

However, on occasion even this website has failed me, but that is easy to fix.
Simply change the "Resize method" to any of the following options.
The "Gifsicle" has never failed me, as far as i can
recall that is.
Also the function next to that called
"If the aspect ratio does not match"
will also help alot if the new resized gif is cut or anything.
It dosent happen however if you choose to resize by "Percentage"
instead of chooseing your mesurements above. But i find it harder
to use/get it right most of times. So I usally try out both
until i got the size i want.
And well once you got the size you want,
or whatever alteration you wanted,
you just save/download the resized gif and then do the
same process as in images.
Which is to upload it to a host site and then use the
same script as with the Images.
Cause agian Gifs are working just the same as images
when it comes to the scripts and you can use all of the scripts
that i mentioned in Images with Gifs.

In other words;
you can put hover text, give them a link and so on.
Any script that can be used for Images works for Gifs just as well.
I have yet to experince any problem with that personally.
And if i do one day discover anything, i will mention it here.
Oh and since its kinda hard to find good Gifs
then i'll share you the sites that i personally use.
The first one that you probally know about is GIPHY
That one has all kinds of Gifs, though i personally dont use it very much since i perfer
cute pixeled ones.^^
